Noem plans Hot Springs stop regarding VA

HOT SPRINGS – U.S. Representative Kristi Noem of South Dakota will hold a listening meeting, from 9 to 10 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the American Legion Post 71 in Hot Springs.

According to Noem's West River Regional Director Brad Otten, the Representative will hear updates from several of the Save the VA Campaign committees and may take questions, if time allows.

Presentations expected include those from the Business, School, Domiciliary and Veterans Committees.

"This is the biggest thing that we are working on in the area right now," Otten said on Monday afternoon.

Bob Nelson, a spokesman for the Save the VA Executive Committee, said he appreciated the fact Rep. Noem has made this effort to hear first-hand the concerns of the community and area veterans. He added that she was the first U.S. Congressional delegate to respond in such a way after repeated requests by members of the Save the VA Campaign to all congressional leaders.

The meeting on Saturday is open to the public.
