Track Meet Results 4-28-16

On April 22, the Edgemont Track team traveled to Custer for the Custer Invitational.
Lathen Stevens placed 4th in the 100 meter race, while Jared Refior placed 12. Stevens time was 11.76, while Refior’s was 12.29. In the 200 meter race, Dustin Curl placed 6th, with a time of 24.40.

On April 8, the Edgemont Track team traveled to Spearfish for the Queen City Classic meet.
In the boys 100 meter hurdles preliminaries, Lathen Stevens was 14th, with a time of 11.76 seconds. In the 4 X 100 relay, Stevens, along with teammates Jared Refior, Ryan Simons and Dustin Curl, placed 9th in the finals, with a time of 46.93 seconds.

The Edgemont track stars traveled to the Douglas High School Early Bird Track Meet on Saturday, April 2, in Box Elder.
In the 100 meter, Lathen Stevens placed 8th with a time of 11.92. In the 3200 meter, Kimberley Moeltgen placed 5th.

State Resource Conservation Speech Contest

The Fall River Conservation District recently hosted its local competition for the State Resource Conservation Speech Contest. This local contest was open to all Fall River County students in 9th through 12th grade.
The theme for this year’s contest is “Why manage water for conservation?” Edgemont teacher Garland Wright encouraged her ninth grade speech students to enter the contest this year, and the results were well worth the effort.
