HOT SPRINGS – It was a good week for the Hot Springs Bison boys’ basketball team as they went undefeated to improve to 4-5 on the season, while also earning their second straight championship title of the West River Tournament, with wins over Edgemont, Wall and then Upton, Wyo., for the championship.

Lady Moguls beat Lady Bison, place fourth in West River Tournament

RAPID CITY – The Edgemont Lady Moguls earned a big win over Hot Springs last Tuesday night during the first round of the West River Tournament, but then fell in their next two games to place fourth overall as a team in the eight-team bracket.

The lone senior on the team, Avery Van Eaton, earned All-Tournament recognition averaging 13 points and seven rebounds per game.

Oelrichs girls finish as runner-up in West River Tournament

RAPID CITY – After winning their two opening round games in Hot Springs last Tuesday and Friday nights, the Oelrichs Tigers girls’ basketball team faced off against undefeated Faith in the championship finals of the West River Tournament (WRT) The game, played on the big stage of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, however went the way of the Longhorns, as Faith won by a score of 66-24.
